Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how TT Caption Tool ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use ttcaptiontool.com and the TT Caption Tool service (the "Service").

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile photo, and a unique account identifier.
• Content you provide. Videos, images, captions, hooks, links, and other material you upload or create in the Service, along with the renders we produce from them.
• Connected accounts. If you connect a TikTok, Facebook, or other third-party account, we store the access tokens or session credentials needed to act on your behalf, such as uploading content you've asked us to upload.
• Usage information. Logs of actions in the Service, such as renders, uploads, and errors, plus basic technical data like IP address, browser type, and timestamps.

How we use information

• To provide the Service: rendering captions, storing your library, and uploading content at your direction.
• To review and approve new accounts and to keep the Service secure.
• To troubleshoot problems, measure usage, and improve features.
• To contact you about your account or important changes to the Service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content to advertise to you.

Service providers

We rely on trusted providers to run the Service. They process data only on our behalf:

• Cloudflare: hosting, content delivery, databases, and file storage.
• Google Firebase: sign-in and authentication.
• AI model providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and xAI): to generate captions and hooks when you use AI features. Only the text and media needed for the request are sent.
• Platforms you connect (such as TikTok and Meta): to upload content and read results you've asked us to manage.

Data retention

Finished renders are stored in your cloud library for 14 days and then deleted automatically. Account information and saved settings are kept while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time.

Cookies and local storage

We use only essential cookies and browser storage needed to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections and stored with encryption at rest. Access to production systems is limited to people who need it to run the Service. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Your choices and rights

You can disconnect third-party accounts in Settings at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To make a request, email gibson@ttcaptiontool.com.

Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the Service.
